Taking Control of Rodent Invasion in Kirkella

Today we are sharing an interesting case study about a new client who reached out to us from Kirkella, troubled by a rodent infestation. The client had been seeing mice/rats in the kitchen, hearing noises from the loft, and spotting evidence of the pesky intruders on fresh bread, under the stairs, and outdoors under parked cars. Frustrated and overwhelmed, they asked us for a comprehensive house survey and a quote for a solution to their problem.

Following the client’s request, we arrived at their property equipped with our trusty Endoscope Inspection Camera. This piece of technology allows us to see into the smallest crevices and corners, locate the rodents’ nests, and track their movements. We conducted a thorough inspection, exploring under cupboards, the loft, outdoor areas behind sheds, and other tight spots.

After gathering and analysing all the necessary data, we prepared a quote for the client, including a two-week period of intensive baiting using our Rat Trap Control Protector Boxes. This particular device is a humane, instantaneous solution, ensuring the rats or mice are instantly killed without causing unnecessary suffering. Furthermore, the box is tamper-resistant, meaning children and pets in the household will not be able to accidentally access the bait.

Delighted by our comprehensive approach and humane methods, the client agreed to the proposed course of action. We immediately started the first stage of the project, strategically positioning and baiting the traps around the property. Additionally, we installed one of our cameras to monitor the rodent activity.

We plan to return often to check all the traps, dispose of any captured rodents, reset the traps, and bait them again. The camera footage will help us understand the frequency of rodent activity (what we term ‘rodent footfall’) and enable us to continually adapt our approach based on our findings.

The process will continue until we have completely eradicated all pests (rats/mice) from the property. However, our service does not stop there. We will then implement preventative measures to maintain a rodent-free environment in both the home and garden. Depending on the severity and nature of the infestation, we may suggest a monthly service to keep the rodent population under control in the garden.
